You heard right. After 15 years recording artists from Minnesota and beyond, Third Ear is closing. The studio building is being demolished to make way for a University bioscience research park. Tenants must vacate by September 30th. It is not clear at this point if or where the new Third Ear will be, but if anyone has any ideas please email tom at thirdearrecording.com.
In the meantime, we will be posting pictures and anecdotes here. If you have recorded here and have stories or pictures, please send them to blog at thirdearrecording.com. Also, please check out the links to some of the extraordinary talent that has worked here (neighbors) or recorded here (artist links). (Tom is really swamped, so please don’t be offended if your link hasn’t been added yet.)
